literally heard the news in the middle of my criminal law lecture

this morning when I was heading out, I thought the day's biggest questions would be like, the case briefs I hadn't finished, and whether or not I would make it to the cafe for birds milk cake. not this.

also, if you'd told me in 2012 that mittens romney would cross lines, I wouldn't've believed a word of it. Christine Pelosi gave a great speech though, and was passing around sheets of paper with '45' on them to tear up. And we closed by singing we shall overcome, which is always a good one.

I want to put my memories down and document this better, but I think that'll be the job of my voice notes. and the news; it's still more than slightly wild to make the news. I can grasp the smell of sage and the bells that scooter-ers rang for us, but I'm far too wrung out to really process most of it. I'm entirely glad to have gone, of course, but I hate that we have to show up like this.

one of the first speakers at the last protest began his speech with "we have got to stop meeting like this" and I think that's how I feel.

at least I did finish my briefs and got kompot, earlier.
