🦠⚓!

to keep the days from entirely blurring together, I've been trying to keep up with the plague anchorite challenge on tumblr! it's gotten pretty flexible as time's gone on, but the basic prompts are:
    • book you’re reading (hot takes and reviews encouraged)
    • show you’re watching
    • housework-ey task/thing you’re doing to make your space comfier
    • way you’re practising mutual aid (even just staying in side, calling people to check in)
    • creative project you’re working on (and updates!)
    • music you’re listening to/your soundtrack

Today's been another one of those blink-and-you-miss-it days, but I did go out and do some gardening. Hopefully the calendula'll spread if we give it the chance! I really like the concept of an herb garden but I have no green thumb whatsoever. Step one, remember to weed and water - just gotta remember to keep up with it!

and I was looking for some sewing things and found an old cross-stitch kit, so I'm taking a fresh stab at it (haha). Some of the threads have been cannibalized for other projects over the years, but hey, I can be creative. got the aida band and pattern, so I'm unstoppable. it'll end up being a sachet, and it's got a honeysuckle pattern on, buut I don't have honeysuckle oil or anything that smells like it. Not even jasmine, and I get them confused a lot in passing on walks lol. I'll probably just stick with lavender, can't go wrong.

pop rock for the night: Anna Sun by Walk The Moon. the lyrics say a Jason Todd bop (we're gonna rattle this ghost town / this house is falling apart) but the music video reminds me of the production of Midsummer I saw put on in a disco club, if you just replace the face paint with body glitter
