Sounds like your morning had a CRAZY start, but turned out okay!

I bet your grandmother will love your cooking. :)

Hopefully you'll enjoy The Terror! :D

Yessss, I loved The Terror. It was put together really well; lots of great acting and buildup of the atmosphere. And they made some adaptation choices that I really liked. But I confess to being kind of biased in its favour because the Franklin expedition is something I've always found fascinating(ly horrible).

I kiiind of think that they showed too much of the monster, though, but that's my only complaint. ;)

Are you planning on watching the second season? I was kind of planning to pass on it, since it's an anthology series and part 2 isn't Age of Sail/historical RPF, but it looks really good.

"Dark but not grim" is a good way to describe it, I think. And utterly miserable. xD Then again, in that kind of situations, pushing on is your only option!

That would make an interesting crossover, I like it. :D Sure, it doesn't match up quite perfectly, but if you slap an AU label on it, it'd excuse any timeline fudging one has to do. xD

Yeahhh I'm probably going to have to wait for hardcopy too... Unless after seeing it all over my dash I cave and pay to watch it digitally (possible). But sometimes waiting makes it even better. ;) Since part 2 isn't an adaptation of a previously existing story, they can go in absolutely any direction they want with it, and since they did such a good job with part 1 I'm REALLY curious about what they'll do. Like you said, it's such a perfect setting for horror.

Be sure to check your ginger over for solitary bees! I've found that some of the wee tiniest ones are ginger-fanatics. If there's a safe place for a bee hotel near your ginger, you'd be doing the little pollinators a favor. <3
