do yall ever get halfway through writing something and then surface for a minute and come back and realise it's somehow gotten sad as hell? like, I thought I was going for bittersweet and gentle, but this is just depressing. and I'm the author, there's no one else I can be mad at about this slide! aah, I just want to give characters happy endings and then. I do the opposite of that lmaooo
