...ok, so posting 'hey I'm finally medicated' and then promptly disappearing from a blog for almost three years IS very funny. but also, sorry for disappearing for almost three years!

 aside, here's something fun: in the last hot minute, I've put about 3.5k words down, in two main directions. I also rediscovered almost 2k of a third project that def started as fic but ended up distant enough that I'd call it original fiction if I ever post it. And actually, one of the two new projects is also about 89% original in terms of plot, so that's a delight to keep developing :D I'm not moving away from fandom by any means, but I do think I might be a little ...stretched-tight of patience for some of it, lately. Not for any reasons of fandom qua fandom, but like, I'm gonna be 30 sooner than later, you know? and inevitably I ask for different things in my media experience than someone who was born after the year 2003.

So that's my creative/fannish update! Adore on my fresh OCs and keep recalibrating my fandom spheres to fit my life-era, that's the plan. And that'll hopefully also help keep my head in a good space for the rest of my plans (haha what if I moved to baltimore or philly or something. or something!!! wouldn't that be funny) :D

Oh, one thing I got polished up for public consumption! Actually, this was an assignment -- we had a few options to demonstrate our understanding of materials alongside the formal exam, and obviously I took the creative writing route. That being said, I only had 1250 words max to demonstrate a minimum of 30 technical elements, and you would be surprised how quickly that wordcount sneaks up on you! So pacing was a necessary casualty. Also, this one is NOT properly representative of absolutely any known legal system lmao, I took the general idea of "NiF, but it's also modern' that a buddy made strides in elsewhere and ran off with it, careening off the walls on my way! But I love love love the ministers and their cultivation-work <3 so here they are fighting the good fight for clarity in some ambiguous post-canon contemporary-ish setting

(and actually I do have context, I just didn't have space to fit it in: considering that the new emperor's advisor of mysterious provenance has died abruptly, under the primary care of 1) a doctor who is not a citizen but does represent a well-regarded neighboring entity, and 2) a physician who happens to be the emperor's own mother, it would actually behoove Jingyan to be able to independently state that there was nothing untoward going on.
