@morning me, it was more like 87% finished, but thanks to sister catching my masterpage goof, I've finished resetting Lawrence of Arabia! Resetting scripts is such a pain in the ass but oh boy do I love my copy of Chernobyl and all its marginalia - I'm still finding little notes I wrote about it on random pieces of paperwork, and now I can finally add them all to the book and it's so fun to really develop those thoughts in a centralised way! So I can't wait to scribble all over LoA too :) what a beautiful clusterfuck, I love introducing it to people! I don't know what I'll bind it in yet, but I might just send it to print along with Gifts/Return this week, so it'll be ready when I am :D

I wouldn't've gotten back into it or even thought to bind it on my own though - I've really enjoyed starting to watch more movies and things with people online, since this summer. I really hope I can keep it up now that school and work are both back on my plate too. I'm finally properly broadening my film palate! T34 was a riot and I'm looking around for a copy of Rikyu :D I'm also trying to make up a shortlist of MASH episodes, because ooh I would love that mood boost lol. I've done no culling into a proper playlist yet, but so I don't forget, I think my tops from the first seasons are: Tuttle, Sometimes You Hear the Bullet, 5 o'Clock Charlie, The Trial of Henry Blake, A Smattering of Intelligence, Aid Station, The Late Captain Pierce, The Novicane Mutiny, The Interview, and Dear Sigmund.

Anyway, that'll all be between classes! I've set up a corner in the basemet for work so that I don't get distracted by my usual things, and now it works for classes too :D also, to the surprise of precisely no one, plan 'don't be a square' has fallen at the first post, because I shit you not Dr Philo has connections to the Center for the Book and we couldn't not talk about it XD I love this guy, it's like taking lessons from a teddy mouse who's also a wildly cited scholar. I wanna be him when I grow up lol.
  • my books for that one still haven't come in though :( I don't wanna have to call someone but I might just, I really need those...

So, like, all told though - I'm pretty hopeful for this semester! there's no use comparing it to what we want; this year is this year and I need to study more than be sad. Work is the same - it's going to be hard, but this is our opportunity to reinvent our program. We've got irons in the fire for workshops and new contracts and I'm liaising with another org to coordinate services. I really want all of these to work out, I think we could build something good!

bops! Joe and Nicky's Good Vibes Only playlist by harrynightingales :D described as good for keeping you awake on a road trip, and lmao it def got me through the most tedious bits of resetting LoA too, thank you!

Ooh, all of these are absolute classics. I'm trying to think if there are others from the same seasons that are also good to watch: not instead of any of these, but in addition.
