I got a beanie over the weekend, and I did not expect it to be such an experience. This is hilarious, it's one of those soft knit ones, from a coffee shop, and it ups my Pretentious Hipster Quotient about 500%. Not only am I sitting around a coffee shop reading philosophy, oh no, I'm slouching at the bar reading Nietzsche. I'm not just catching a train, I'm doing it in an infinity scarf and an indie local business beanie. As soon as you have a beanie, you start singing weird alt rock under your breath. it's the rule. It's just a tangle of acrylic fibers, and yet it confers so much angst, in just one gesture. I love it. now I am a True Philosophy Student.
Also, I got the AD position! I signed the paperwork and it'll process after this pay period completes, so this is real!!
otoh, the rest of the world gets today off, so there's like no one on campus and I can't make the calls to work on our major event. so. I reign in tranquility, for a moment.
((Speaking of TMBG, I've mostly fallen off of the Marvel bandwagon, but there's a few songs on this album that Absolutely make me think of Tony and Bucky and what they might share about surgical invasion and (lacking) bodily autonomy. where's that talk happening?))
